    Jazz Peace Concert's Mission Statement:

    Jazz music is a universal language. Transcending differences and bridging divides – popular worldwide, by young and old, rich and poor - propelled by the very beat of life - still evolving and attracting new enthusiasts. Jazz music is a common bond bringing together all of the people, bridging ideological differences into a common bond of easy enjoyment and brotherhood. Hawaii is an ideal place to host these Jazz Peace Concerts. The beautiful island is perfect for our local musicians to create an upbeat atmosphere, continuing our mission of universal peace through the Jazz Peace Concerts. We hope that you will join us in promoting peace - and enjoy the Jazz

    Mrs. Mihoko Maier organized "Jazz Peace Concert" has been recognized and invited to perform at the United Nations Music Concert in Honolulu this September.

    Kyle Ino was born and raised in Hawaii. Having a background in ceramics, he has been producing art for craft and art fairs since 1986. Through the years, he has produced numerous different crafts, such as ceramic ikebana vases, raku and porcelain jewelry and polymer clay jewelry.

  • Sumi-e Art Demo - Hisae Shouse

    Artist Hisae Shouse Demonstrates the Ancient Oriental art of Sumi-e (ink painting).

    This unique oriental art called Sumi-e literally means “ink painting”. It was brought to Japan from China during Kamakura period. Sumi-e requires only simple materials such as black ink, water, rice paper, and brushes. These simple materials can be used to produce an infinite variety of tones and dynamic quality of strokes on washi paper. Practicing the basic techniques of Sumi-e brings pleasure and enjoyment to the painter

    About the Artist Hisae graduated from the Women’s College of Art in Japan with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art. She studied under Master Kunpuu Ito, chairman of the board of the director at Nanga Association. She has exhibited in both Japan and Boston. She has taught Sumi-e-classes at the community college in Boston and Temari, Center for Asian and Pacific Arts in Hawaii, and Tradewind gallery in the Windward Mall.

Appointments Are Required  for Photo Shoots,  Filming, Wedding Ceremonies, & Any Other Use of Our Properties. Appointment Required to Meet With Bishop Hosen Fukuhara.

In order to maintain this "private" cemetery and temple for perpetual care, special fees shall be assessed.  Please refer to the reservation form fee schedule for individual site-use.  Out of respect to those revered in this temple that is in the Valley of the Temples Memorial Park, we appreciate your understanding  and ask for your usual manner when visiting a private property.   Mahalo!   The Management
