Dan Garwood
Glenn and I served aboard the USS Chicago and had 2 tours of Vietnam. We became the best of friends. Glenn traveled with me to my hometown of Butte, Montana and we spent a week there with my family. Everybody just loved him so much. In 1971 Glenn was the best man at my wedding to my wife Ceene in San Diego. On one of our our tours to Vietnam I went with Glenn and his family to a beach and had lunch with them. It was the one and only time that I had rice balls. They were delicious.
In 2011, my wife and I flew to Hawaii to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Glenn and Phyllis met us at the airport and we were able to spend 2 wonderful days touring Oahu. They took us to a wonderful sushi dinner to celebrate our anniversary.
We learned of Glenn's passing when we received a Christmas greeting from Phyllis. Our hearts are broken, but we have many wonderful memories of our times spent with Glenn.
Please accept our deepest sympathy at the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. We will miss him dearly.
Warmest regards,
Dan and Ceene Garwood
