Celebrating the Life of Candelaria “Candy” Visaya Pasion, who passed away in Honolulu on February 2, 2014. She was born on February 2, 1928 in Bago Vintar, Ilocos Norte, Philippines to Hermogenes Visaya and Eulalia Domingo. Candelaria was the 5th of eight children. She attended Bago Elementary School. She was married to Artemio Rivera Pasion. She was a Child Care Assistant with Foster Grandparent Program for Public Elementary Schools for 10 years, also worked as a Holiday Mart maintenance person, for Hawaii Price Hotel as a hotel maid, and lastly at Oahu Nursing Facility as a housekeeper. Her most important events in her life were coming to Hawaii and working at her various jobs; she really enjoyed it. Candy really enjoyed politics and watching CNN. She has A LOT of friends and made friends wherever she went. Candelaria is survived by her daughter, Adelaida Pasion (Gabriel) Rivera and Mary Ann Pasion (Roger) Fontanilla; brothers, Pablo (Josefina) Visaya and Ariston (Cecilia) Visaya; grandchildren, Rey (Monalie) Rivera, Stephen (Mhy) Rivera, Donny Fontanilla, Gina Lyn (Allan) Cudal, Cheryll Rivera and Lee Marie Fontanilla; great-grandchildren, Mia, Joan and Dennise Cudal, Marga, Mattie and Elijah Rivera. Her visitation will be 10:00-10:30 a.m., Saturday March 1st, 2014 to be held at the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa; family service to begin at 10:45 a.m. and Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow 2:00 p.m at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
