Lisa “Mama Lisa” Pua Welch, 58, of Hauula, Hawaii passed away peacefully on Monday, January 4, 2016 at her home in Hauula surrounded by her family. She was the fourth of five children born to John Kekuku and Marjorie Leilani Iaea in Honolulu, Hawaii. Mama Lisa was a loving homemaker to her family, church and community. She is survived by her doting and devoted husband, Jesse D. Welch; daughters, Jolene U. (Roy Dayton) Carreira, Marjorie L. Carreira, Jessica P. (Troysen) Garcia, and Danielle P. (Jestin) Keo; sisters, Wanda L. (Henry) Rosa and Bridget I. (Fred) Welch; 13 grandchildren, Genesis (Steven) Vave, Makana Carreira, Hokulea Dayton-Carreira, Kaiona Dayton-Carreira, Kulani Bryant, Kawena Bryant, Jayden Morgan-Garcia, Jaysen Morgan-Garcia, Jaymen Morgan-Garcia, Jayten Garcia, Jesse Boy Keo, Jestus Keo, and Jestro Keo; four great-grandchildren, Tayliona Vave, Neelia Vave, Kierah Vave, and Anaiyah Vave; many nieces and nephews and numerus god-children. Mama Lisa was a true pillar in her community and a devoted member to her church where she worshipped. She touched many lives from the newborn to the elderly. She had an angelic voice and loved to sing worship and praise music. Her family was one part of her pillar which made her the person she was. She will be remembered as a loving, beautiful, kindhearted, giving, and selfless person who would do anything for anyone with never asking a question. She was a woman of God and served her family and the Lord. Pastor Wayne Vierra of Greater Mount Zion Holiness Church will be presiding over services. Which is set for Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Greater Mount Zion Holiness Church located at; 53-776 Kamehameha Hwy, Hauula, HI 96717. Visitation for Mama Lisa will be from 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. with service to begin at 10:00 a.m., a luncheon will follow after services with a burial scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. Mama Lisa – Now you can fly and soar with the angels and watch over us all. Saying goodbye is never easy but the time that God has given you to be with us is priceless and will always be embedded in our hearts forever. It’s not goodbye but until we meet again. We Love you now and forever, your family and friends. Interment Location: Ocean View Terrace #2, Lot 8181, B-2
