Noreen Aloma Keala Iopa Hiram Keahiolalo
Celebrating the life of Noreen Aloma Keala Iopa Hiram Keahiolalo. Born on March 6, 1944 in Honolulu, Hawaii she was the only child of George Kealoha Iopa and Evangeline Keala Ellis. She was raised by William Edmund Hiram and recognized him as her father and acknowledged “Hiram” as her maiden name. Her family was a “Yours, Mine and Ours” blended family, some of whom have already passed on. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by brothers, Juny, Arlington, Edmund, Jeffrey and Eddyngton; sisters, Aloma, Billie, Joann, Moana, Ipolani, Ermanie and Audrey. Noreen was married to Harvey Ahia Keahiolalo, who predeceased her on May 25, 2018. Noreen joined her husband in eternity on March 25, 2019 at the age of 75. She is survived by children, Keola (Joey) Keahiolalo, Kawai Miller Keahiolalo, Kimela Keahiolalo and Sherrie Estabilio; grandchildren, Kana’i (Kendra) Keahiolalo, Caitlynn (Brandon) Knull, Briana, Evan and Emma Keahiolalo; brother, Lambert Hiram; sisters, Evanitta Crowe and Velma Iopa Warfield; hanai sister, Karla Paiva. She also has many other hanai sons and daughters, nieces and nephews. She attended Hau’ula Elementary and graduated from Kahuku High School, and was a proud Red Raiders Alumnus and Fan. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and actively attended the temple in Laie. In one of her writings she stated “I have a testimony, sacred and dear to me”. The Gospel gave Noreen a sense of direction. She stated, “I know who I am, and where I want to go. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and am humbled by what He has given me..a chance to return into the presence of our Heavenly Father. I exist today, to know what I can be tomorrow.” Noreen loved singing and listening to all sorts of genre. Music was in her upbringing. She enjoyed “Kanikapila” with who ever had the time. Some of her hobbies were sewing, crafting and reading. She took to the different Asian Dramas. When asked why she preferred Asian Dramas she’d say, “I like that there is no swearing and it’s family oriented. And love how I can laugh, cry and feel suspense at times. The music is also great!” This Righteous Woman will truly be missed. Her favorite beatitude from the New Testament of the Bible is, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.” Services for Noreen will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Olomana Ward, 41-972 Oluolu Street, Waimanalo, Hawaii 96795. Visitation will be from 8:00-10:00 a.m. Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a luncheon to follow at the church. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park, 47-200 Kahekili Highway, Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744.
