Alvin Namuo, a caring father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away on March 19, 2026, in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, at the age of 94. He was born on June 16, 1931, in Keahou, Hawaiʻi, to John and Miriam Namuo, who instilled in him the values of hard work, humility, and service to others.
Alvin proudly served his community as a firefighter in Hawaiʻi, a career defined by courage, commitment, and a deep respect for the safety and well-being of others. Through years of service, he earned the respect of colleagues and community members alike, always answering the call with quiet strength and reliability.
He is survived by his loving son, Maui Namuo, 2 sisters Bernice & Elizabeth, as well as seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, who carry forward his legacy of dedication, resilience, and aloha. Alvin will be remembered as a devoted family man, a brave firefighter, and a steady presence whose life reflected care for both his ʻohana and his community. His memory will be cherished and his service gratefully remembered.
