Andrew Reuben Lovell Jr's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Andrew Reuben Lovell Jr
December 23rd, 1949 – August 2nd, 2025
“If can, can. If no can, den no can.”
We gather to celebrate the beautiful life of Andrew Reuben Lovell Jr, born in Honolulu, HI, and who peacefully passed in Waianae, HI. Andrew loved sports and outdoor activities, and he lived every day guided by kindness, hard work, loyalty, and generosity. Friends and family remember him simply as “a family-oriented man who was always willing to help,” and those words say it all.
Andrew’s bright spirit showed up on every playing field he visited and every trail he walked. Whether lending a hand, cheering at a game, or planning the next outing, he lifted others with a supportive heart and steady strength.
His greatest joy was his family. He shared life with his wife, Karen Ann Lovell, and was a proud dad to Andrea Morales, Cheryl Lovell, Alika Lovell, David Lovell, Kelii Lovell, Melissa Ramos, Lena Daquip, Jennifer Lovell, and Angela Morales. Andrew also treasured time with his brothers Harry Lovell and David P. Lovell, and his sister Myrtle https://Pitolo. Along with his 35 grandchildren and 8 Great grandchildren. Every gathering was brighter because Andrew was there, ready with a smile and that well-loved motto: “If can, can.”
Today we honor his giving nature, his love for sports and the outdoors, and the countless moments he spent encouraging everyone around him. Andrew’s family and friends will keep his upbeat spirit alive by helping others, staying active under the Hawaiian sun, and repeating his favorite words whenever a challenge appears.
Mahalo, Andrew, for showing us how simple generosity and steadfast support can shape a full and joyful life.
Services for this extrodinary man will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 9am-1pm at Valley of the Temples Trousdale Chapel.
