Andy Galapon Villanueva's Obituary
Andy Galapon Villanueva, 65 years, of Montgomery, Illinois passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 surrounded by his family at the home of his daughter. He was born on February 4, 1950 to Permito Villanueva and Caridad Galapon in the Philippines.
He was employed for fourteen years in the maintenance department of the Kane County Sheriff’s Department and had previously worked at All-Steel Equipment Company in Montgomery, Illinois for fourteen years. After retirement, he enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and traveling - especially to Hawaii to visit his beloved grandchildren and family.
He is survived by two daughters, Amy (Adam) Bauer of Hilo, Hawaii, and Tara Villanueva of Aurora, Illinois; two grandsons, Lucas and Andrew Bauer of Hilo, Hawaii; his mother, Caridad Villanueva of Pearl City, Hawaii; sister, Aida (Lowell) Tunac of Waipahu, Hawaii; five brothers, Eliseo, Oscar, Roman, Alfredo, and Rudy Villanueva all from Hawaii; the mother of his children, Diana Villanueva of Montgomery, Illinois; also several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Permito Villanueva.
Visitation: 5:30 – 9:00 p.m., Monday, August 17, 2015 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; service to begin at 6:30 p.m. Additional visitation to be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, from 9:00- 10:00 a.m.; Mass to begin at 10:00 a.m.; with burial to follow 12:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
