Asuncion Munar Membrere's Obituary
Asuncion Munar "Ciony" Membrere, 84, of Waipahu, passed away February 21, 2016. She was born August 10, 1931 in San Fernando, La Union, Philippines to parents Luis Munar and Juana Galvez Munar, and was a retired cafeteria worker at the former Hawaiian Regent Hotel.
She is survived by two sons, Noel (Jenneth) Membrere and Tino (Julie) Membrere, Jr.; two daughters, Lorna (Rico) Pascua and Susan Barbara (Benjamin) Bumanglag; three sisters, Prisca Galvez, Josefina Marquez and Catalina Morales; nine grandchildren, Christina Pascua, Jennel Membrere, Carolyn Pascua, Melissa Bumanglag, Nowela Membrere, Michelle Bumanglag, Ashley Membrere, Leon Jordan Membrere, Jacob Membrere.
Visitation will be from 5:30-9:00 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Wake service will be at 6:30 p.m. A second visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Kalihi. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. with burial to follow at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park Cemetery at 12 noon. Flowers are welcome.
