Benita Duclayan Rivera's Obituary
“Nana” Benita Duclayan Rivera was born on March 21, 1925 in Barrio Cadaclan, San Fernando La Union, Philippines to Miguel and Isabel Duclayan. She immigrated from the Philippines to Oahu, Hawaii on October 31, 1969 with her children. She initially lived in Moanalua Valley, then moved to Pearl City, and later to Ewa Beach. “Nana” Benita worked at a laundry mat for a year then worked as a pineapple trimmer for Del Monte. She worked for Del monte till 1981. Since then she helped to care for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was well loved and will be greatly missed. She was proceeded in Death by Francisco Rivera, husband; Lope Jesus Rivera, infant son; Aurelio Rivera, Sr., Martin Rivera, sons; Romeo Corpuz,Sr., son in law; Dean Cabagbag, grandson; Juliana Marquez, sister; Ponciano, Gregorio, Bruno, Leon, Damiano, brothers. Deceased step-sister; Modesta Casuga, Deceased step-brother; Roman Balanon. She is survived by : Children: Claro Rivera, Marcelo Rivera, Margarita Corpuz, Adelina Cabagbag, Manuel Rivera. Daughter in laws: Tessie Rivera, Ester Rivera, Lolita Rivera, Imelda Rivera, Anagene Rivera; Son in law: Arthur Cabagbag; 21 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren.
