Bruno A. Sanchez's Obituary
Bruno Agpalasin Sanchez, 61, of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016was. He was born the fifth of nine children to Justo Cabantangan Sanchez and Beatriz Agpalasin in Barangay 7, Patad, Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on May 11, 1954.
He attended San Antonio Elementary School.
He began his working career at a young age; from a farmer, carpenter, tricycle driver, and then last with his current employer; landscaping maintenance crew leader for Performance Landscapes.
He lived in Ilocos Norte and Pampanga, Philippines and settled in Honolulu, Hawaii, U. S. A.
He married Elisa Calderon Calindas.
He was a parishioner of the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa.
The events that were truly important to Bruno were each of his children’s graduations and their accomplishments. He enjoyed watching Manny Pacquiao fights and UFC matches. His liked listening to Ilocano church songs, “Faithful Love.”
He will be remembered for saying to his loved ones – “mag-aral ng mabuti” (study well) or “magpakabait palagi” (be good always). He will be truly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by wife, Elisa C. Sanchez; children, Ronald C. Sanchez, Richele C. Sanchez, and Rafael C. Sanchez; siblings, Leonora Sanchez Bueno, Jacinto (Leonora) Sanchez, Consolacion S. (Wilfredo) Maburang, Teresita S. (Eugenio) Palma, Jaime A. (Elma) Sanchez, and Angelina S. (Jerry) Ilacas; sister-in-law, Corazon Sanchez. He is preceded in death by brother, Rogelio Sanchez and brother-in-law, Laurel Bruno.
Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Sanchez will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; visitation will be from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m., with wake service to begin at 6:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be held from 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa (located at 712 North School Street Honolulu, Hawaii 96817); Mass to begin at 10:30 a.m., with burial to follow 12:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park
