Carmen G. You 89 of Kailua, HI passed away 14, May, 2019 at home. Services will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Kailua 148 Makawao St. 10:00 a.m. family viewing 10:30 a.m. public viewing 11:00 a.m. mass Luncheon to follow in the church hall Burial- Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery at 3pm Attire: Aloha/casual Mrs. Carmen G. You was born on February 7, 1930 in Samar, Philippines. She was a home-maker who also assisted her husband, Joseph C. D. You with his painting and contracting business, “Joe You Painting.” She was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Kailua. She was a member of the Elk’s club when she and her husband lived in Guam for several years. She was a simple creature of habit. She never missed her daily prayers, she enjoyed her morning coffee, watching her game shows, tending to her garden, playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, but most of all, she loved spending time with family, being entertained by her great-grandchildren, having fun with her siblings, going to Las Vegas, and fishing! She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph C.D. You, daughter, Eileen You Paris, her two sisters, Socorro Dominice and Lucita Alcantara, her brother, Roger Gariando and many other family members who she missed so dearly. She was survived by her sister, Melinda LaCaille and brother Fidel Gariando (his wife Damiana) her son, Alvin You (his wife, Nan), her son, Joseph “Bobo” You Jr. (his wife, Mona), her daughter, Susan Wong (her husband, Jimmy), 13 grand children, 28 great-grand children, 6 great-great-grand children and many nieces, nephews, and family members who were very near and dear to her heart.
