Chevelle Anela Lewis Arthur's Obituary
Chevelle Anela Lewis Arthur,16, of Kaneohe, Hawaii, went to be with the Lord at her home on April 12, 2026. She was a cherished daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend, and her presence will be deeply missed.
Chevelle was born September 1, 2009, in Kailua, Oahu. She lived with her family and grew up in Kaneohe, and attended Koolau Baptist Academy from Kindergarten through 10th grade. Chevelle was a born-again Christian who attended Koolau Baptist Church. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her Mother, father, and brother on their yearly summer trip adventures all across the United States. She loved to bake with her father on the weekends , learning and playing her piano, hanging out and talking story with her brother , beating her mom at numerous card games and foosball. She loved eating pizza and spam musubi, and tried to get them as often as she could. Chevelle loved spending time with her friends, who were also like family to her. She felt comfortable with her closest friends, who saw her as talkative, witty, having a humorous side, which her mother, father, and brother knew so well. She was an excellent student and strived to do her best in everything each day. She took pride in everything she did, no matter how small or big, and approached it the same way, determined to do it well. This was reflected in the numerous awards she received for her grades, character awards, and teacher awards she received on a yearly basis. Though she never wanted attention for her successes and often shied away from recognition or the spotlight. She also had a great love for animals, especially guinea pigs, dogs, and, oddly enough, bearded dragons and frogs. She enjoyed caring for God's creatures. Chevelle was a sweet, loving daughter and friend. She always wanted to help and be a blessing to others. She strived daily to live a Christian life. Her humble, easy-going nature made her a joy to be around. Her eyes and smile were big, bright, and full of life. She is survived by her mother, Joelyn Arthur, her father, Cory Arthur, and her brother, Chace Arthur, along with many other loving family members and friends.
