Celebrating the Life of Chung Sun Hetzer
July 19th, 1933 – August 8th, 2025
Today we celebrate the beautiful life of Chung Sun Hetzer, who was born in Kun Sun, Korea and passed away in Honolulu, Hawaii. From her earliest days, she showed the world what it means to be kind, supportive, loyal, honest, and compassionate.
Family always came first for Chung Sun. She was the steady source of encouragement for her daughter Suzy Chung and her son Sonny Hetzer. Whether cheering them on through milestones or offering quiet advice, she made sure her children felt heard and loved.
Friends remember her ready smile and her open door. If someone needed help, she was there—no fanfare, just genuine care. Her simple acts of thoughtfulness rippled outward, creating a lasting impact that still shines in the lives she touched.
We hold tight to the joyful moments: shared meals, easy laughter, and the calm reassurance she brought to everyday life. Each memory reminds us that her spirit was—and remains—rooted in warmth and sincerity.
As we gather in gratitude, we honor a life well-lived and a heart well-shared. Chung Sun’s legacy of kindness and honesty will continue to guide her family and friends forward.
Thank you, Chung Sun, for showing us how bright life can be when compassion leads the way.
Family has decided to hold their own funeral services as of right now
