Diana was what I considered a "Close" friend. Although my grades were not in the same ballpark, we spent alot of time talking on the CHS Patio at lunch. She was a very pretty, vivacious young woman with sparkling Brown eyes and a "bob" hairstyle. She could (and did) let out a genuine belly laugh when we weren't in a crowd. Along with that, a lot of chortles when she got me to cut loose with one of her remarks.
After her Brother Dave was kind enough to find me a nice suit that fit well, I asked her to the CHS 1968 Prom. We had a great dinner and a lot of laughs at the Colonial Inn in Lompoc prior to the dance. It was there, that I also learned my "Dining Out manners" left something to be desired.. Hers did not.
She was a great young woman that brought many smiles regardless of which group(s) she may be around.
The world has lost a very kind and caring Lady that I will be forever proud to have had as a friend.
