Earley Adam Kaili Smith, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026, in Aiea, Hawaii, at the age of 82.
Born on May 15, 1944, in Honolulu, Hawaii, Earley was the beloved son of Landis and Elizabeth Smith. Raised in the islands he loved, Earley spent his life embracing the values of hard work, family, and community.
Earley built a proud career as a welder in Hawaii, where his dedication and craftsmanship earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike. He was known for his strong work ethic and quiet determination, qualities that he carried into every aspect of his life.
He made his home in Waianae alongside his cherished wife, Jo Smith. Together, they built a life grounded in love, partnership, and unwavering support for one another.
Earley is survived by his loving wife, Jo Smith; his son, Landis Smith; his two grandchildren, Landis Smith and Madison Smith; and his great-grandchild, Leilani Birthisel. His legacy lives on through the generations of his family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Earley will be remembered for his strength, humility, and deep love for his family. His presence will be greatly missed, but his spirit will continue to live on through all those who knew and loved him.
