Edward G Araki's Obituary
Edward G. Araki, 77, a retired ships agent for Honolulu Agency, passed away December 31, 2016 in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 19, 1939 to parents Joseph and Agnes Araki.
He is survived by wife, Michiyo; daughters, Beth Matsukawa, Dawn Bacon and Estelle Araki; son, Dereck Araki; three grandsons, Max Laki, Jon Liko, Barend Daniel and 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sister Mary Josephine of the Sisters of Sacred Hearts and Christina Ponton of Vermont; brothers, Stephen of Vermont, Francis of California Januarius of Texas, James of Florida, Paul and Thomas of Honolulu.
Services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017, at Valley of the Temples Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. followed by a prayer service at 12 noon. Graveside service and burial will be at 2:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. Aloha attire is requested. Flowers are welcome.
