Erlinda Collado Galace's Obituary
Erlinda Collado Galace, 73, of Waipahu, Hawaii passed away at home on February 15, 2024. She was born on September 13, 1950 in Laoag, Philippines. Erlinda attended Divine Word College and Northern Christian College, where she graduated with a degree in education. She moved to Hawaii in 1976 and initially worked as a dishwasher. She then changed careers & became a nurses aide and worked at Arcadia, then part-time at Liliha Care Center while working full-time at Convalescent Center of Honolulu. she later opened an adult foster home and cared for patients for over 20 years. She retired in 2011 and joined her husband in Hilo. They then returned to Oahu in 2016 to help with their grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by Adelino Demetrio Galace (husband); Esperanza Saludes Collado (mother); Domingo Collado, Sr.(father); two brothers-Domingo Collado, Jr.; Hayden Collado; sister-Susan Collado.
Erlinda is survivied by two daughters, Demelyn Johnson & Mary Ruth (Lesly) Manding; five sisters-Aloha (Roger) Deuz, Annie Batara, Esperanza (Faustino) Francisco, Saniata (Jovel) Fagaragan, and Melody (Constante) Habab; two brothers-Darling (Marjolyn) Collado & Hayden (Cheryll) Collado, II; and 3 grandchildren-Ethan, Naomi, & Aria Manding.
Services will be held on Wednesday May 1, 2024 5:00pm at Mililani Memorial Park Makai Chapel and burial the following day Thursday May 2, 2024 1:00pm at Valley of the Temples.
