Esteban Recel's Obituary
Esteban Raganit “Steve” Recel, 83, of Ewa Beach, passed away February 5, 2016. Born in Santa Catalina, Ilocos Sur, Philippines on August 3, 1932 to parents Gaspar and Josefa Recel, he was a retired civil engineer for the Fort Shafter Corps of Engineers and was formerly employed by the Carpenters Union.
He is survived by wife, Visitacion “Vi” Recel; sons, Randolfo Recel and Esteban (Elnora) Recel, Jr.; daughters, Edna (Salvador) Dawa, Mary Tess (Rene) Gutierrez, Eileen (Donato) Santos, May (Spencer) Chang, Esvinn (Mikeal) Stansbury, Leilani Recel; brothers, Gaspar (Linda) Recel, Jr. and Rolando (Flora) Recel; sisters, Adelina Pelayo, Teresita (Tito) Buan, Eufemia (Joe) Rualizo; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 8:30-10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2016, at St. George Catholic Church in Waimanalo. Family remembrance will be at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park
