Eufemia H Vicente's Obituary
Eufemia H. Vicente
June 15, 1934 - January 28, 2026
Eufemia H. Vicente, beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, at the age of 91. Born in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, Eufemia built a life deeply rooted in generosity, faith, positivity, and infectious joy. In 1993, she and her husband, Cesar, migrated to Hawaii, where she continued to share her warmth, hospitality, and unwavering love with family and friends.
Piniang, as she was fondly known to many, and Ina to her immediate family, welcomed everyone with the comfort of her cooking and the openness of her heart. Entertaining visitors brought her joy, and she expressed her love through meals prepared with care. She carried a playful sense of humor, often surprising her family with spontaneous jokes. Eufemia loved to dress up, though she always playfully insisted she didn’t know where Macy’s was, claiming every outfit, sandal, shoe, and bag she owned were simply gifts. Her vibrant spirit shone brightly in the company of her senior group, where they exercised, danced, and performed. She embraced strength and purpose in her church community, where her faith remained a guiding light throughout her life. She was deeply proud of her family's achievements and spoke of them with joy and confidence. Her encouragement, pride, and love shaped generations.
During her final days in New York, Ina was surrounded by the devotion of her family. Her children traveled to be with her, even enduring a snowstorm just to remain by her side. With remarkable strength, she held on until her youngest son, wife, and daughter departed from the airport, as if offering one final act of love and release. She passed peacefully with her daughter and family beside her. Eufemia is now reunited with her beloved husband, Cesar.
She is lovingly remembered and will be eternally missed by her children:

Joel H. Vicente and wife Ma. Christina B. Vicente
Gernelyn Vicente Lisane and husband Dante Lisane
She is also survived by her sister Dolores Pascua, along with 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, all of whom carry her memory with deep affection.
Her life was a testament to kindness, faith, humor, and unwavering love. Those who knew her will forever remember her welcoming smile, her joyful dances, her playful jokes, and the warmth she brought into every gathering. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to be loved by her.
