With joyful hearts, we celebrate the life of Evangeline Caling Caling Dela Cruz, a generous and kind soul who touched everyone she met. Born on January 5th, 1946, in Isabela, Philippines, Evangeline brought warmth and light wherever she went.
She loved cooking and spending time with her family, filling their lives with laughter and delicious meals. Her supportive and hardworking nature made her a pillar of strength, always ready with open arms and a helping hand. Evangeline's responsibility and generosity were evident in every aspect of her life, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Evangeline is lovingly remembered by her devoted spouse, Juan Dela Cruz, and her children: Remigio (Candida) Dela Cruz, Josephine Mina, Rosie (Felipe) Dela Cruz, Ernesto (Charmaine) Dela Cruz, and Joel (Loida) Macaburas. She was the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her legacy of love and kindness.
On June 28th, 2025, Evangeline passed away peacefully in Honolulu, Hawaii, reuniting with her beloved parents, Victorino Caling Caling and Maria Esteban Caling Caling. While she will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family and friends.
As we remember Evangeline, let us celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the joy she brought into our lives. Her generous heart and loving spirit will continue to inspire us all.
Funeral services to be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 from 9am-1pm at Valley of the Temples Trousdale Chapel. Burial to follow at 1pm.
