Florendo Tabilin Fiesta's Obituary
Florendo Tabilin Fiesta
April 3, 1950-October 28, 2019
Florendo Tabilin Fiesta was given the gift of full life on April 3, 1950 and had given it back to the Lord at the age of 69 on October 28, 2019. As frail as he was, he sustained his family up to his final days by nourishing them with a surplus amount of courage and hope.
He was born in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines to the late Leonido Agonoy Fiesta and Petra Tabilin Fiesta. He was preceded in death by his siblings Herminia (Emilio Dumayas+), Ernesto (Pacita C. Fiesta), Rodolfo, and Avelina (Elias L. Pascua+). He is survived by his beloved wife, Solinda Pascua Fiesta; his four children: Reynaldo Fiesta (wife Trinidad), Rowena F. Peacock(William Peacock, Jr.+) Berlinda Fiesta (Rodel Arzaga+), and Beverly Florence F. Vickers (husband Howard T. Vickers); his grandchildren Mark, Ledda, Raya, April, Adonis, Eumira, Joshua, Johnson, and Zoei. Likewise by his brother Juanito (Felicidad P. Fiesta+), and many other much-loved relatives and friends.
Florendo was a humble and hard-working man. He lived his life to the fullest through simple pleasures by chatting with his family and friends, snacking on dodol and boiled peanuts while watching tv, listening to Ilocano songs, and reading any material he could lay his hands on especially Bannawag (an Ilocano magazine). He took fashion cues from no one and his signature look was loose black pants and a pocketed shirt. He had a life-long love affair with gin which he drank regularly with his friends who fondly called him “Roco.”
He was a devoted husband, a nurturing father, a benevolent grandfather, and an unpretentious friend. His success story was meeting his wife, raising his children and grandchildren, and loving each one of them.
He will be remembered by his family as a bright, shining light and will forever be missed.
