Florentina Palacay Aguda's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Florentina Palacay Aguda, born in Dadaeman, Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Her parents were Juan and Teofila. She was the 3rd out of 7 children. She retired in 1987 after serving 12 years. After retirement she got involved in sewing and became a seamstress where she did home weaving from 1940-1966. She lived in Kaneohe and later moved to Honolulu. She had married Pascual Aguirre Aguda at the age of 16. Florentina was a feisty, generous loving, king and selfless person who always liked cracking naughty jokes. Her most important events in her life were raising her 5 boys and 5 girls. She enjoyed sewing and planting vegetables. Florentine is survived by her sons, Patricio (Tina), Fermin (Angelina), Romillo (Gloria)(Erolyn), Francisco (Susana), and Rey (Rose May) Aguda; daughters, Editha Pantoca, Bella (Bernard) Ramirez, Enriqueta (Jaime) Adaoag, Florencia (Villamor) Palalay, and Benita (Dean Minami) Aguda-Minami; 34 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren.
Her services will be on Friday, November 1, 2013 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; visitation: 5:00-6:00p.m.; service: 6:00p.m.; Additional Visitation Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; visitation: 9:00-10:00a.m.; service: 10:00a.m.; burial: 12:00p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
