Florita Badua Carganilla's Obituary
FLORITA BADUA CARGANILLA, 71, of Ewa Beach and formerly of Honolulu and Pearl City, passed away October 9, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Maragayap, Bacnotan, Philippines where she lived until 1967. On July 22, 1964, she married Alfred Carganilla. Her parents were Anselmo and Soledad Badua. She was the 5th of 6 children and attended schiool, earning her high school degree. After graduation, she began a career as a custom drapery seamstress for J.C. Penney, and also used her sewing talents to create one-of-a-kind prom dresses for her nieces. She retired in 2015 after 25 years. She was a hard worker, very caring, loving and full of life. She was very proud of her family and enjoyed sharing in their accomplishments, attending her grandchildren's sporting events and their high school and college graduations. Of her many activities, she especially enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas.
She is survived by sons, Cesar B. Carganilla and Alfredo "Al" B. Carganilla; 4 grandchildren; brother, Alfredo Badua;nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday 11/09/2015 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; wake service will begin at 7 p.m. A second visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Tuesday 11/10/2015 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ewa Beach. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park in Kaneohe.
