Mrs. Frances A. Abaya (aka “Francisca”), 88, of Honolulu, HI, passed away on August 21, 2025. She was born in Ilocos Norte, San Nicolas, Philippines. She was a devoted, nurturing housewife and mother; LPN, senior adult foster home caregiver at own residence; direct saleswoman; hotel seamstress, front desk clerk, and retired housekeeper at Hyatt Regency Waikiki. She is survived by daughter, Mrs. Marjorie (and son-in-law, Robert); grandson, Jonathan (and granddaughter-in-law, Mrs. Chelsea), along with one great-grandson; granddaughter, Ms. Alexandra; and grandson-in-law (former), David. Preceded in death by parents, Fernando and Mrs. Estefania; two sisters, Mrs. Lapaz and Mrs. Consolacion; daughter, Ms. Mary Charlain (d. 2010); husband, Gregory Abaya (aka “Gregorio”/“Greg”) (d. 2011); grandchildren’s father, Edward (d. 2013); and senior pet, baby “grand-dog” Snuggles (d. 2025).
