Francisco Doctolero Agni, 92, of Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, entered eternal peace—held in God’s loving embrace—on October 29, 2025, at Queen’s Medical Center–West.
Born on December 3, 1932, in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, Francis, as he was affectionately known, grew up in a close-knit community where hard work, perseverance, and family were woven into everyday life. Those early lessons shaped him into a man of quiet strength, humility, and resilience—qualities he carried with him across oceans and through every chapter of his journey.
Francis lived simply and with intention. In his free time, and especially after retirement, he delighted in familiar routines: keeping up with the news, watching volleyball games, boxing, and horse racing on television, and tending to his vegetable garden. These daily pleasures brought him comfort and contentment. Those closest to him knew his gentle sense of humor well— never loud or showy, but it surfaced at just the right moment. In these small ways Francis showed his beliefs not through words but through care for others, doing what was right, and meeting change with quiet steadiness.
A beloved husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and joyful great-grandfather, Francis built a home filled with love and deep devotion to his family. As the last of his generation, he walked his later years with gratitude for the colorful life he had been blessed with. His memory is a treasure, and his legacy lives on in the values he passed down, the love he gave freely, and the example he set for everyone whose life he touched.
He leaves behind a family bound by love, stories shared across generations, and countless small moments that continue to echo in everyday life. Though he will be deeply missed, the steadiness, kindness, and quiet joy he brought to those around him remain a lasting gift.
