Hannelor "Katie" Fend's Obituary
HANNELORE "KATIE" FEND, 78, of Honolulu, passed away at Straub Hospital on December 2, 2015. Born in Darmstadt, Germany to parents Ernst and Susanna Weicker, Katie was a homemaker, sales associate and assistant building manager. She was also the founder of Operations Aloha, organizing, packing and shipping care packages to the U.S. troops in Iraq.
She is survived by husband, Kurt Fend; son, Michael (Gabriela) Fend; daughters, Cathy Musser and Loretta (Herman) Monico; brothers, Ernst (Christina) Weicker and John Takada; nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2016, at the Valley of the Temples Memorial Chapel. Service will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a reception to follow. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
