One of my fondest memories of my Grandpa is being a little girl and his asking if I wanted Mc Donalds. I said sure and excitedly pulled my crumpled free hamburger coupon out of my tiny purse. And was I surprised when he said, "pssst, let me tell you something.... When someone offers to treat you, just say yes and enjoy it and keep your money in your purse to use later". I remember really thinking about that and smiling wide and enjoying that McDonalds very much that day and I put my coupon back in my purse. That memory stuck with me my whole life as well as many other little tidbits of advice from Grandpa throughout my life. I will miss him greatly as I have my mother and Grandma these last few years.
