My condolences to his wife and children and to his many friends. I first knew him as "Mr. Yoshida" as a child. What I remember the most about him was that he would visit with my parents to discuss insurance matters at our home. At the end of the meeting, he would entertain my brother and I with an illusion. I also remember that he would give us a toy of some kind if we were well behaved. I recall him telling me that if I was interested in performing magic, I could take one of his classes when I turned 12 years old, the "magic age". So, when I turned 12, I took him up on the offer, and attended 2 of his courses. Since then, I practiced and performed magic to entertain friends and family, including my high school, convalescent homes, and special needs centers. At 19 years of age, I stopped performing to attend college, but my interest and experience was inspired by Mr Yoshida, Sensei of Magic. I will always cherish and respect the skills he taught me. He will dearly be missed, but never forgotten.
