Sam,Thanks for everything--all the advice and daily updates that you gave me. I will never, ever forget you and all you have done for me since I first met you back in 1987 while I was TDY at Kunia. Remember that we chatted for a long time? And we continued the conversations many, many times when I joined JICPAC/JIOC. You were a true inspiration. I admired your expertise and learned so much from you. I believe nobody in the intel community will ever be able to replace you. You were one of a kind. Thank you so much for everything RIP my good friend. Your good friend, Mark.##imported-begin##Mark McCullough##imported-end##
Sam and I once sat near one another across a small aisle. He was an expert among experts, providing continuity and direction to many of our activities. I haven't seen him in many years, but I often think of him as being just across that aisle. Despite his passing, that approach feels as right as ever, so I guess I will stick with it. I regret that I am unable to make the services for my friend, but in my heart, I will be just across the aisle. Rest in Peace, Sam.##imported-begin##Steve Jarvis##imported-end##
Sam played a big role in my life and career in the Air Force and as a DoD civilian. He was funny, kind, but also stern when he had to be, and one of the most knowledgeable people I have met. I loved him and loved working alongside him. He taught me a great deal that allowed me to be a success in my career, and also taught me how to be a better person in dealing with the struggles that inevitably come in life. I will truly miss him, but I know his presence will always be felt - Thank you Sam for everything.Love,Judy##imported-begin##Judy Cocke##imported-end##
