Mendonca, Jane Matilda's Obituary
Jane Matilda Rodrigues was born Juanita Matilda Rodrigues on October 4, 1930 in Paia, Maui to Julio and Thelma Rodrigues. Jane grew up on the island of Maui before moving with her family to the Big Island. It was in Hilo where she met her future husband, David Walter Mendonca. They were married on July 7, 1951. David and Jane then moved to Oahu, where they started their family, welcoming three children -Donna, Gary, and Pamela. Jane was a homemaker raising her family in the Kaimuki area before moving to Kaneohe, where she lived until she passed away on January 31, 2026 at the age of 95. She loved reading books, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family. She was the life of the party in her prime and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, David Mendonca who passed away in 2019. She is survived by her three children, Donna (Frank), Gary, and Pamela (Juan), seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and her sister Josephine. Services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Valley of the Temples Makai Chapel at 10:00 a.m.
