I talk about Jaycob whenever a Rubik's Cube comes up. He must've been 12 at the time but he said to me, "Uncle Blane, I bet I can solve this."
I said "I don't have much money," so he offered to solve it behind his back. And he did.... after less than 30 seconds!
He told me he learned how to do it while he was grounded 😆
I'll never forget his cheeky smile. He was kind. He was loved. He will be missed.
I tell people about Jaycob whenever I see a Rubik's Cube. He must've been 11, or 12yo, but he comes up to me with his cube and says, "Uncle Blane, I bet I can solve this."
I tell him, "Let me mix it up." I mixed that cube up as much as I could. I didn't want to lose a bet with a kid... and I only had a few dollars.
He says, "How about this, since you only have a few dollars I'll solve it behind my back?"
I swear, less than thirty seconds later he emptied out my wallet. He told me he learned how to solve it when he was grounded LOL. To this day, I have never seen anyone solve it the way Jaycob did. I'll never forget his cheeky smile.
