Joyce Akemi Watanabe, 79, of Mililani, Hawaii passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Queens Medical Center. Services for visitation will start at 930am on Wednesday, June 9, 2022 at Mililani Makai Chapel followed by Graveside service at 1pm at Valley Of The Temples, Eternal Peace, Lot 2172.
Miss Joyce A. Watanabe was born December 11, 1942 in Waipahu, Hawaii, and was a management supervisor at First Hawaiian Bank. She was very much involved in the church ministry at Mililani Baptist Church, and regularly tutored students in the after school programs. she helped feed the homeless as well as the chukeese children, volunteered in the children's church ministries, and served in the church senior ministry and choir. Joyce was preceded in death by Frank T. Watanabe (father), Masae Watanabe (mother), Stanley Watanabe (brother). She is survived by brother; Alan M. Watanabe and sister; Ann H. Motter, along with Nieces; Shelly Daugherty, Cathy Watanabe, Sherry Watanabe-Wong, Vicki Weaver, grand-niece; Sara Barnett and grand-nephews; Tyler Daugherty, Ryan Daugherty, Chase Weaver, and Samuel Wong.
