Leonara "Nora" Nakahara's Obituary
Leonara “Nora” Nakahara 78, of Honolulu, died peacefully on May 11, 2019 surrounded by her family at her home. She was born in Hamakua, Hawaii on April 11, 1941. Celebration of Nora’s life services will be held on Monday, June 3rd at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park, Kaneohe. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with services to follow at 6 p.m. Burial will begin at 9 a.m. on April 4 at Diamond Head Memorial Park. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, her family meant everything to her. Survived by her beloved husband Richard; daughters, Tricia Kadota, Kristy “Nori” (Joe) Carpio, and Iris (Jim) Stremick; grandchildren Reece Kadota, Kadie and Isaac Carpio, and Morgan, Kaden, Leona and Naomi Stremick. Mother Roselia Eugenio, and her siblings Danny (Puring) Eugenio, Paul Eugenio, Nellie “Renee” Lam, Veronica “Ronnie” (Jeffrey) Coakley, and Darren (Chet) Eugenio. The family extends a heartfelt mahalo to family, friends, and the staff of Kaiser Permanent and Saint Francis Hospice all of whom provided Nora extraordinary and loving care during her illness. Services for Leonara are on Monday, June 3, 2019 at Valley of the Temples Mortuary Chapel. Visitation to begin at 5:00 p.m.; Service at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at Diamond Head Memorial Park.
