Leoncia "Luz" Carmelo Carmen's Obituary
Leoncia “Luz” Carmelo Carmen, a resident of Honolulu, Oahu passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the Kuakini Medical Center she was 89 years old. Leoncia was born to Angel Carmelo and Benita Piano in Bantay, Ilocos Sur, Philippines on September 12, 1926. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Lorenzo “Inso” Carmen; sons, Marino “Ninoy” Carmen, Roberto “Berting” Carmen and Cirilo “Lito” (Mercy) Carmen; daughters, Agustina “Tina” Carmen, Rose-Jean (Jaime) Laguardia, Maria Lourdes “Mar” Carmen and Maria-Victoria “Vicky” Carmen; sister, Gabriela Carmelo; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services for Leoncia will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Diamond Head Mortuary (located at 535 18th Avenue Honolulu, Hawaii 96816); visitation from, 5:30 – 9:00 p.m.; wake service to begin at 6:30 p.m.
Additional visitation on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (located at 2324 Omilo Lane Honolulu, Hawaii); visitation from, 9:30 – 10:45 a.m., Mass to begin at 11:15 a.m.
Burial to follow 1:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park
Casual Attire.
Interment Location: Ocean View Terrace, Lot 8417, D-2
