Maria Natividad Bulseco De Peralta's Obituary
Maria Natividad Bulseco De Peralta, 97, of Waipahu, Hawaii passed away on December 7, 2017. She was born to Petronila (Liberato) and Teodoro Bulseco in Barrio Rancho, Santa, Ilocos Sur, Philippines on August 18, 1920; she was the third eldest of five children. She attended Rancho Elementary School. She took up dressmaking and soon to become a dressmaker in the Philippines. She was married to Benjamin De Peralta on November 17, 1944 at Rancho, Santa, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. She immigrated to Hawaii and after over 20 years, she retired as a pineapple picker for Dole Company and was also a seamstress. She was a member of Sacred Hearts Catholic Church in Lanai City, where she lived, ’til she moved to Oahu. She loved to listen to the Filipino radio station and sing along and she also loved sewing. After her brain surgery in the late 1990’s, she was never able to recognize anyone anymore; but was always happy to greet everyone with a big smile and if they were lucky enough, she would sing for them.
She is survived by her daughters, Esmeralda (Vicente) Villaruz, Evelyn De Peralta and Rose Jean De Peralta.
Celebration of Life service for Mary Natividad will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church (1525 Waimano Home Road Pearl City, HI 96782); visitation from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m., eulogy and family remembrance to begin at 10:30 a.m., funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., with burial service to follow 1:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
