Mattie Mahi Aberilla's Obituary
Mattie Mahi Aberilla, 80, went to be with her Lord on March 14, 2018 at Castle Medical Center in Kailua. Born in Honolulu to Louise Huakini and Hermogines Calpito, she was the seventh of eight children. Kaneohe is where all of her lifetime memories were made; From creating unforgettable moments with her hanai daddy David K. Williams to raising her family. This is the place she called home for 80 years. Mattie attended Benjamin Parker School and graduated from James B. Castle High School, where she later retired as an Educational Assistant.
A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, she will always be remembered for her selfless heart and sweet smile that captured the hearts of her family and anyone she came across. She is preceded in death by her daughter Trinidad A. Aberilla-Labatad. Survived by her husband of 58 years, Daniel Aberilla; sons Allen Aberilla (Penny Quinata), Ivan (Yuki) Aberilla, Clyde (Mackie) Aberilla, Dayton (Kimberly) Aberilla, Emmett (Natasha) Aberilla, Kamalei Aberilla (Kayla McCumber); daughters Debbie (Michael) Villoria, Roxanne (Robert) Celio, Sheila (Edward) Pama, Danielle Aberilla (Micah Carreira); 19 grandkids, 23 great grandkids
Celebration of Life for Mattie will be held on Saturday May 5, 2018 at Anchor Church in Kaneohe. Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. with service at 12:30 p.m.; followed by 3:00 p.m. Burial at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
