Noreen Janel De Rego's Obituary
Noreen Janel De Rego, age 74, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026. She was born on April 17, 1952, in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, to Alfred and Diana De Rego.
Noreen lived a life centered on love, care, creativity, and devotion to her family. A beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunty, and “Mammy,” she touched the lives of so many with her warmth, strength, and unwavering love. She found great joy in cooking and sharing traditional meals, passing down cherished recipes that brought family and friends together around her table.
She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kind heart, feisty personality, and wonderful sense of humor. Noreen had a way of making people laugh, comforting those she loved, and bringing warmth wherever she went. She found happiness in life’s simple moments, especially time spent with her family and her beloved dogs, who brought her endless comfort and companionship.
She is survived by her daughter, Nichol Meyers (Randy), and son, Brian Busboso; her life partner, Ricky Hernandez; her loving sisters, Robin and Candy De Rego; her cherished grandchildren, Harlee, Nikalis (Madison), and Maecee Meyers; and her beloved four-legged companions, Bootsie and Bandit. She was preceded in death by her son, Andrew Busboso Jr.
Noreen will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always by her family and friends.
