Roman Rungduen Anday's Obituary
Roman Rungduen Anday, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and teacher, passed away January 13, 2017 at Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu. Born May 26, 1922 in Batac, Ilocos Norte, Philippines to parents Fidel Anday and Rafaela Rungduen Anday, Roman was a retired teacher in the Philippine public education system, and also served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his son, Galileo "Gali" Anday.
Roman is survived by his loving wife, Ceferina "Siping" Anday; daughters, Joy (Roger) Afaga, Angelita "Chita" Franco and Lavina "Vinie" Anday; 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2017, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Kalihi. Visitation 9:30-11:30 a.m.; Eulogy 11:30 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at 11:45 a.m. with burial to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park Cemetery.
