Romulo Dotimas Layco's Obituary
Romulo Dotimas Layco passed peacefully in his sleep on January 25, 2026, at the age of
71 in Honolulu, Hawaii. His funeral service will be held on March 14, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Valley of the Temples.
Romulo was born on November 26, 1954, in San Rafael, San Nicolas, Pangasinan,
Philippines, to Buenaventura and Dionisia Layco. At an early age, his intelligence was
already evident. During his college years, he pursued a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at Baguio Colleges Foundation in the City of Pines, Baguio. It was there that he met the love
of his life, Renie Ribao. Romulo and Renie were married on December 27, 1967, in Bauang, La Union. Their union was blessed with four children: Leah, Leo (Mary Jane), Liza, and Liezel. Their joy doubled with the arrival of their three handsome grandchildren Jayden, Gabriel, James Raphael, and Julian Miguel, whom he treasured dearly.
In 2012, Romulo and Renie migrated to Honolulu, Hawaii, where he spent 14 meaningful years living a life of contentment. Despite his incurable illness, he never showed resentment. Instead, he continued to live life to the fullest, finding joy in simple pleasure, conversations with family, colleagues, and friends, and most especially, spending precious time with his beloved grandchildren. Family, relatives, and friends will always remember him for his coolness and jolliness nature. Above all, his calmness, kindness, and gentle demeanor toward everyone will never be forgotten. Though he may be gone but he will forever remain in our hearts.
