Santos Cadacio Casamina's Obituary
Santos Cadacio Casamina, 87, of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016. He was the fourth of six children born to Julio Casamina and Paula Cadacio in Barangay Cagayungan, Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines on November 1, 1928. He was a retired stevedore for the Hawaii Stevedores.
He attended and graduated from Pacita Educational Institute in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. After graduation he began his career as a textile laborer.
He made the move to Hawaii from the Philippines in 1966.
He married Flora Arre Cabalo on September 27, 1921 at Sta. Lucia Church. He was a parishioner of the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa and of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, both in Honolulu.
People who have influenced and touched his life were Alex and Leo Casamina.
He enjoyed traveling the world, barbequing and one of his favorite songs was “Palayopoy.”
He was a man who would give the shirt off of his back if you needed it. He motto was “Don’t do anything to anyone, you don’t want done to you!”

Services for Mr. Casamina will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; visitation will be from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m., with wake service to begin at 6:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be held from 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa (located at 712 North School Street Honolulu, Hawaii 96817); Mass at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow 1:30 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
