Socrates Calaranan Alcon's Obituary
"Life is the greatest gift that God has given us, death is only a bridge towards eternal life with God."
Socrates was born on April 19, 1954 to Servando and Maria Calaranan Alcon, in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Socrates Calaranan Alcon has returned to our Creator on March 8, 2021 at the age of 66 in Queens Punchbowl Hospital. HIs living siblings are Lourdes, married to Brigido Ganir; Arsenio, married to Norma; Margie, married to Michael Berueda; and Nessy, married to Delia. The other siblings are the late Julian, married to Lina; and Valentino, married to Lureta.
He was a Incredible person, very Hardworking, very Humble, very Patient, Quiet, very King, Loving, Caring, had a big Heart, and was a Good Provider to his family, He was a risk taker, one example was him joining the Philippine Presidential Guard for late President Ferdinand Marcos, instead of pursuing his college education. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. Anyone who knew Crating knew that he was the most loving father and spouse a family could ask for.
He is survived by his wife, Luzviminda Digo Alcon and their five children; Aprilyn, married to Albert Aliocod of Batangas, Philippines; Yvette, married to Rolly Alcaraz of Toronto, Canada; Christian, Mary Monie and Vanessa, married to Rodrigo Cabuena, here in Hawaii.
