Theresa Lopez Hosino's Obituary
Theresa Lopez Hosino, 95, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on April 23, 2015. She was born in Wailea, Hawaii to Manuel Lopez and Salvadora Morales. She was a woman who wore many hats: a seamstress for Alfred Shaheen, a retired cook for St. Francis and Kamehahema Schools, a Foster parent for 10 years, a volunteer with Saint Francis Hospice-Nuuanu and she spoke four different languages.
She is survived by daughters, Carol Dean (Ray) Caspillo, Billielyn “Alani Hi’iakaikapoliopele”, Patricia Ann (Ed) Urbano; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and sister, Maria Roberts (of Maryland).
She is preceded in death by parents, Manuel Lopez and Salvadora Morales; son, Raymond T. Hosino; brothers, Frank, John, Gregory and Manuel Lopez; sisters, Ramona Sarluelo, Isabela Johnson and Annie Oliver.
Visitation to her funeral service will be from 10:15-11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Our Lady of The Mount Catholic Church (1614 Monte Street); family service to begin at 11:15 a.m., Mass at 11:30 a.m., with burial to follow 2:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
