Vi'iga Salave'a Finau's Obituary
Vi’iga Salave’a Finau, 77, of Leone, Pago Pago, American Samoa, passed away on November 4, 2016 in Pearl City, Hawaii. Born in Aasu, American Samoa on May 31, 1939 to parents Siamani Salave’a and Peka Sili’a, she was an early-child- development teacher in Samoa. She was preceded in death by son, Paulo Moananu, Jr.; daughter, Faletausala Aumavae; sisters, Faatoatuina Salave’a, Faasavali Heassler, Faletausala Salave’a.
She is survived by husband, Hakai Finau; sons, Steve Moananu and Simele Moananu; daughters, Luli Moananu-Vaepule, Si’iga Sieni Mananu-Leidig, Elizabeth “Fia” P. Moananu-Salapo, Fono Mananu, Christine Moananu-Faalogo, Tina Frannie Finau-Faumuina, Elizabeth C. Finau and Belinda Finau; brothers, Siamani (Saleka) Salave’a, Siaosi (Virginia) Siamani, Mataaga (Susan) Salave’a; sisters, Solotai (Fala) Fili, Fono (Kava) Wilson, Taeleolo Salave’a, Tu’ua (Ene) Amosa; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the Valley of the Temples Memorial Chapel (47-200 Kahekili Highway, Kaneohe). Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
