We celebrate the beautiful life of Yvonne Hiilei Magallanes, a beacon of light who loved people deeply. Born on June 3rd, 1954, in Lahaina, Hawaii, Yvonne's warm spirit and generous heart touched everyone she met.
For over 20 years, Yvonne dedicated herself to serving her community through her work with Alu Like, uplifting countless lives with her compassion and support. She extended her passion for helping others as a financial counselor at Chaminade University, guiding students toward brighter futures.
Yvonne's kind, compassionate, and generous nature made her a cherished friend to many. She was loyal and supportive, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a comforting word. Her family was the center of her world, and she leaves behind her beloved husband, Kenneth Magallanes, and their sons, Derek, Elton (Rebecca), and Keith "Kalani" Magallanes. Loved by her eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her dear sister, Theone Shigeta.
On April 23rd, 2025, Yvonne passed away peacefully in Waianae, Hawaii, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. While we will miss her radiant smile and uplifting presence, we celebrate the joy she brought into our lives and the memories we will cherish forever.
