Dr. Carlos Valencia
I am aware it has been over a year of Harold's passing. For many years I lost contact with him.
I first met him as my advisor and professor while I was getting my PhD at Stanford. He was the most wonderful person always full of life and positive suggestions. A real teacher and mentor.
After graduation, I made contact with him while working in Washington DC. He then took the role of adoptive father and friend. We sailed together and enjoyed for many of times the Severn river and the Cheseapeake bay as sailors. My gratitude for his always welcoming smile will always be part of my best years in Washington.
To the relatives that survive, I wish to express my most sincere expression of sorrow and sadness. The world has lost a wonderful person that touched many lives including mine.
Harold was a really, really good person!!
